Missions Conference/ Update

A week ago we were allowed to present our ministry to our church during the missions conference. It went really well! After a minor heart attack when we thought the video wouldn't play, we were able to show it, and then speak to the congregation for a few minutes. It was great to be able to share our hearts with our church family, and to know that they are behind us. We've already had a few people commit to supporting us while we're serving in Manila. It isn't the support we need yet, but after praying about it together, we know that no matter where our support is at when we leave, God will provide for us while we're there.

This last week we were received our passports back from the passport office, which was really good. We've been waiting on them to buy our tickets. We have to have our passport information for the international tickets we wanted to buy, but if we waited much longer the tickets would have been to expensive. Anyways, we were able to go to the travel agency and purchase the tickets through a missions organization so that we don't have to pay the date change fee later (you can't book a return ticket more than 330 days out, so we'll have to come back in February, or change the date later).

So now we have tickets, passports, and some financial support, and we're one step closer to getting to the mission's field!
